Wow...where does time go?

Wow...Where does time go?   We moved apartments in December and in packing and moving I got out of the habit of writing the blog.  What a terrible thing to do.  We have done so many things and taught some wonderful lessons from the New Testament and I did not write to share it with you.  I am sorry!

My brother called me to repentance and it has still been more than two weeks.  I guess I was just contemplating repentance!

Last week we received permission from our Mission President to go to Mount Vernon to see the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival.  It was a gray and misty day but the tulips were amazing!  They were every size and color.  There were small and petite to giant size about 3 feet tall.  Some had shaggy edged petals, some had pointed petals.  There were tulips of vibrant solid color and tulips with stripes or two colored petals.  The gardens were massive, filled with every color.  It was beauty to behold!

We also had a great P-day together being tourists and seeing the area.  We visited a small town called LaConner.  It was small and quaint.  We had lunch in a small cafe right on the water.  There were boats going and coming.  The seagulls were floating on the air currents and landing on the pier.  We had a wonderful lunch of fresh halibut and Dean had cod and chips.  Man it was the best sea food we have had since coming to the Pacific Northwest.  Then we walked hand in hand up and down the main street stopping at a few unique shops.  I took a picture of one shop that had the most beautiful artsy tables.  I really want to recreate one for my family table.  The idea is that they are had painted to tell the story of your family.  We could do Arizona, where we were married and first lived; then we could do Baker City with the mountains behind our house and horses and cows in the field; we could paint red rocks for St. George and finally the green and trees with lakes for our mission!  It is a family legacy.  I was so unique. One table had all the names of the children/grandchildren wood burned/carved into the edging on the table.  I want to make a paper table top before I do it in the wood but I am totally excited to create one for our family!
It was a great trip.  I am so thankful for the opportunity to see the Lord's most beautiful creations in this lush green and gorgeous area.  I am thankful for the Lord's tender mercies of allowing us to serve our mission here.
