The Gospel is delicious! Come and partake...

We went on a walk through Robinswood park this morning.  The Elders called to see if we could drive them and an investigator to a Baptism.  So we hurried home to get ready.  The Elders came at 10:00am...Whew,  ready just in time!  Their investigator was a nice young man.  He graduated last year and will be attending Bellevue College soon.  His story is cool.  I do not know the ending yet but I see a light coming into his countenance.  The missionaries were teaching him the lessons.  They talked about prayer and how to pray.  Then they asked him if he would be willing to pray and ask Heavenly Father if the things they taught him were true...(thinking they would return in a couple of days to teach him again.)
He said yes and knelt down, right then, on the floor and prayed out loud asking Heavenly Father...He got up after he finished and said, "Yes, I felt it when I prayed.  I know it is true.  I want to be Baptized!"

The Spirit is amazing!  He attended the Baptism and enjoyed it.  Then he was at Church today and attended the YSA fireside with Elder Cook tonight.  It was a sweet experience to attend the Baptism.
It was amazing.  The Spirit was so strong.

Today in Sacrament meeting, Brother Krueger was conducting and announced the speakers then said we would like to invite Sister Baxter to share her testimony with us before our last speaker!  Oh boy, I said a quick prayer for the Spirit and went forward!  That is something I have been preparing my whole life for...I KNOW THE CHURCH IS TRUE!  I KNOW that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the Earth.  I am so excited that the Heavens have been opened.  Every time we drive by the Seattle Temple and I look heavenward to the Angel Moroni statue and see the scriptures in his hand, I think Angels have always been God's messengers!  Why not in our day too?  Yes, Prophets of old, people in the New Testament and the Book of Mormon all had Angels come to teach or direct their lives and bless the lives of their people.  It only makes sense to me that the restoration would include heavenly messengers sent to bless the lives of all people on the Earth today!   If only we could help them understand this glorious message of the gospel, the same teachings that Jesus Christ taught when he was upon the Earth.  The Priesthood that Christ gave to his 12 Apostles has been restored.  We are blessed to have a Prophet and 12 Apostles to guide and direct and bless our lives with inspired messages from Heavenly Father.  I felt the Spirit very strong today.

There is another amazing young man in the other YSA ward.  He had a co-worker who invited him to investigate the church.  He was JW but was searching for something more.
We were at Church when he came the first Sunday.  She (his friend) left for BYUI and left him in the capable hands of the Sister Missionaries.  Today, he was one of the few members of our gospel principles class who had read the lesson before he came to church.   It was on the Priesthood and he had a couple of questions?  Like I noticed that boys at 12 are ordained to the Aaronic Priesthood....so what about me?  Would I start as a Deacon??   He is a cool young man.  He is so earnest in his searching!  I can see the Lord preparing men and women everywhere.  We just need to invite our friends and allow them to decide/investigate for themselves.

We have given away several pass a long cards.  One to a waiter in a restaurant, one to the Verizon guy who helped me when my phone died a terrible death, one to a person we talked to on a hike.  So we are trying.

We have been busy baking for the kids at the institute.  We serve dinner the first Tuesday of the month.  So I made extra brownies and we took them to our neighbors.  It was so much fun to see how delighted they were to make new friends!

I am starting to feel like we know a lot of the kids and neighbors.  That is all good!

We will teach New Testament classes at Bellevue College starting September 20th.    LDS kids can get college credit if they to a church school.  But the class is open to anyone who would like to attend.  We are studying and love learning more.
