Family Home Evening was great! We had a huge turn out, probably over 100 young adults. We had a lesson that taught we are children of God. He loves us and wants us all back. We need to make and keep sacred covenants with Him--but we do not have to be perfect. Sometimes we feel like if we are not perfect in our lives then we are not good enough! We need to realize that Heavenly Father loves us as we are...however we are. He just wants us to try to be better tomorrow than we are today. Sometimes we concentrate on our weaknesses and think badly about ourselves. We should concentrate on all the goodness in our life and work on the other things to make them better and ask Heavenly Father to help us turn weakness into strength. Remember it won't happen in one hour or one day. If it is something we need to work on it may take time and help from heaven to conquer.
Then we had a night of pumpkin carving FUN! They had some very creative pumpkins but I did not take pictures of those...silly me! But the cute happy faces of our new friends should tell the story.
We are really loving these Young Adults!
What a fun mission!
