Ensign Chorus and Symphony is AMAZING!

Last night for FHE we were invited by Elder and Sister Armstrong to go to a concert at the Beneroya Hall in downtown Seattle!  We are talking truly amazing!  The building is beautiful from the outside but the inside is way cool.  At the entrance into the building on both sides is a huge glass blown sculpture by Dale Chihuly.  It represents the Seattle waves, wind and all sea creatures.  If you could see it in person it is pretty cool!  and HUGE! If this image does not allow you to zoom in, look it up on google.  The detail is so awesome it is all glass blown art!  I wanna learn how!!!

The concert was fabulous!  The guest conductor was Italian, but came from Russia.  He graduated from The Juilliard School of music.  He had the symphony playing music like I have never ever heard! (in person)  It was about the creation...and you could just feel the Lord creating the worlds as the music came together in crescendo!  The acoustics in the hall were so beautiful!  The musicians were perfect in their performance as far as I could tell.  We had several YSA friends who were playing instruments or singing.  The Choir/Chorus was beautiful.  Their voices were loud and soft but clear and powerful!  After living in Eastern Oregon all our lives we have never had the opportunity to see something as professional and well done as this performance.  The words of the songs were testifying of God and Christ!  This was stirring to my soul.  We both loved the experience

We also had a fun dinner with the two office staff couples just before the concert.  Elder and Sister A. will go home in December.  It will be a big loss to our mission.  They are so wonderful and do so much to help the entire mission work smoothly!  It was fun to get to know them better.  Elder and Sister Elwell also work as office staff.  They are delightful and glad to have as new friends.
