I testify that Jesus Christ is the Son of God! He came to Earth with power and authority that has never before or since been demonstrated. No one can go about doing the things the Savior did. With the power of the Priesthood restored to the earth again, men have authority to bless all of Heavenly Father's children. Sometimes miracles and healings happen. However, the testimonies in the scriptures make it clear that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. His life was pure and He changed lives as people came to Him. Many came to learn, perhaps more came to see the miracles or to be healed. The experience of a father who brings his son to be healed is interesting. Christ saw the boy as he fell on the ground and wallowed foaming. He asks the boy's father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? The concerned father tells him, since he was a child, and explained how terrible it had been for them because the bad spirit wanted to destroy the boy! Then he asks Jesus to "have compassion on us, and help us!" The response is piercing..."if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." This man obviously believed that the Savior could heal his son! He probably wanted it more than anything else in life. The telling part is when it says in verse 24: the father of the child cried out, and said with tears,"Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief."
Have you ever been there? I have great faith in the Lord! I have no doubt that HE can do and has performed miracles in our life. I have received many blessings. Though I do not doubt the Lord, I doubt myself! If we want miracles we must examine our lives. The question is, are we holding ourselves back from blessings the Lord wants to give us?
