Meeting the CES Director and our Mission President

We are doing great.  Monday morning we met with our CES Director Brother Moore.  He is trying to line us out with responsibilities.  He has to get everything put together with Bellevue College and contract signed before we can get an assigned space with the college. We are hoping to be able to teach New Testament this year to the college students enrolled.
We may get to help with the pathway program.  We will for sure be cooking and caring for the Institute young adults.  There were between 60-80 kids there Thursday night.

We just met our Mission President Tuesday. He is a great man. We spent a good 30-60 minutes with Pres Schofield and his wife!  After, Sis S. showed us the supply room...That was way cool!  This mission is truly an international mission.  They have supplies in Russian, Hindi, Arabic, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Samoan, Chinese, Japanese, Swedish... Ohhh I can't remember all the languages!  I think there were easy 15+ languages!
But the interesting part is that the Elders when they meet someone on the street and start talking to them, if they are say, Russian, then they ask if they can show them something on their iPhone (smart phone) and they take them to LDS.ORG then pull up a phamplet and select their language and the phone reads it to them right there!  So English Elders can teach a first to anyone, any language!  love the inspired technology!

We have been working with the missionaries assigned to our YSA. They are super missionaries and have been asking us to help them in finding and fellowshipping!  They had a Baptism Saturday afternoon. Then  we split w missionaries on Saturday late afternoon and I got to tract for 3 hours with the Sisters. That is an experience!!!!!

Sunday after church was a munch n mingle....lots of kids but not so much food!   So I will figure out how to encourage them to bring larger salads, larger dishes, larger desserts.  Don't worry, I will be gentle!

Sunday, We took two new converts to the member missionary fireside that was FABULOUS!  The spirit was so strong!  They had around a 80 young Elders and Sisters up front as a choir!  Oh what beautiful shiny faces, beautiful music too!   At the end they sang "Called to Serve" and marched down the isles into the rec hall.  It was so awesome!  We didn't get to march out with them but I wanted too.
Just like being at the MTC it was AMAZING!  Sweet is the work!  Love it❗️💕
My only problem is keeping track of Elder Baxter as he goes around meeting and greeting people!  Ha ha.

  2. How AWESOME! You make me laugh thinking of you trying to keep track of your companion. So did you split and go with the Sisters and did Dad find some Elders? Was it a 3 some? What a lucky group of youth to get to have you serving with them.
