Our good-bye trip to the MTC

Our good-bye trip to the Missionary Training Center was a trip of tender mercies and tearful joy, all the way.

It started at home with many of our dear friends coming by to visit and hug us and wish us well.  We have such dear friends and neighbors.  It was a whole week of sharing love.

As we left home Wednesday in southern Utah we drove to our daughter's home in Idaho.  Thursday, was her Birthday.  The day she was born is a day we will never forget!  It was day we became parents of a beautiful baby girl, the day we became partners with Heavenly Father in responsibility to raise and teach her all we could so she would be able to return to Him someday.
We had a FAMILY FUN DAY together working on a big project. Then we went to dinner at Pizza Pie Cafe!
We spent the night
and then there was the group HUGS and good-byes!

We went to see my Sister.  Dean gave her a big hug and said it was so good to see her.
Then I hugged her, she took my hand and said, let's go in the house...
I don't have a clue who that man is!  She obviously did not remember us.
But she is so sweet and darling, we love her lots!
It was a fun visit with her family.  She had some of her children and grandchildren there
we celebrated with cake and ice cream!
What a great visit!
Then we drove on to Brigham City.  My brother and his wife met us there for dinner.
The surprise is that he invited some of his children and grandchildren to come also.
We were delighted!  We had a great visit and dinner at Maddox Restaurant.
My Dad used to take us there once in a while...nostalgia!

after dinner my brother and his wife went to the Brigham City Temple with us.
Then we visited until almost midnight.  Great visit!

Donald and Holly!
